Water & Wastewater System Projects

Arthur Engineering worked closely with Civil Engineers Bissell and Karn and the City of Pleasanton operators to design complete electrical power distribution, controls and telemetry for the Ruby Hills - Water Pump Station.  The design included automatic diesel engine-generator backup power and radio telemetry controls to remote storage tanks and the central monitoring system.  This facility provides water to the large estates and golf course in the Ruby Hills Area southeast of Pleasanton.


The Pinole Center Lift Station is one of several we have worked on for the West County Wastewater District (WCWD).  On some of these projects we worked for a developer, and on others we worked directly for WCWD.  Our services range from the design of power and control system improvements, to the addition of automatic generator backup systems.  This generator, as is now standard for WCWD, is housed in a special sound attenuated enclosure.  Generator and pump system status is sent to the District offices via radio telemetry.


Arthur Engineering has provided power distribution, motor control, and control systems design for wastewater treatment areas at many wineries throughout California.  The system at Meridian Vineyards included a remote service and MCC design as well as a PLC control system for control of the pond aeration based on dissolved oxygen content.  The system also controls transfer and irrigation pumps.  We worked with Seco Control Systems to develop a radio telemetry system enabling the plant to monitor and control the remote station from the main winery on a graphical computer interface.
